Cross Country Checkup went well
Stephane Dion's appearance on Cross Country Checkup went very well I thought. It had an intimate 'fire-side' feel, and the discussion didn't seem rushed. The questions were pointed but Dion could take the time to explain his policies and show how much he cares about Canadians and their future. I can't explain it, but the radio show seemed to go much better than any television interview I've seen.

I agree, he came across well. But it looks like we have a new contender for the title of "best prime minister we never had."
Sounded like a good Liberal to me!
I was impressed. Dion performed well and I have to admit, it was the first time I heard his reasoning behind the Green Shift policy so clearly articulated, over and over again.
That said, the real hero of today's show was all the Canadians who called and expressed their immense distrust in Harper. I think Rex was actually shocked that all his callers hated Steve. He even started to cut some off. LOL!
Sorry I missed it.
It's interesting what you say about so many Canadians not trusting Harper.
Of all those people I have meet who distrust Harper the is rarely any middle ground.
Many of his supporters also seem distinctly uncomfortable about some aspect of his character but are prepared to look the other way for the greater good!
Stevie has to win this election and win big or the knives will be out.
Interesting take tootrusting.
But seriously, if Harper should lose (majority or minority), who the hell in that shallow pool of talent would run for the leadership in his place? The new and improved Conservative Party is seriously lacking any freaking talent. It's no wonder Harper is campaigning alone this time out. He has no team to boast about.
